How We Started…
Salamon Flooring, Inc. is a proud fourth-generation family-owned flooring company with a legacy that began in 1943. Founded in Holyoke, MA by Mitchell Salamon and his son, also named Mitchell, the company started by serving residential clients before transitioning into commercial flooring — a shift that has fueled our growth across New England.
Over the decades, Salamon Flooring has completed extensive work for major malls and commercial spaces throughout the region. Under the leadership of Mitch Salamon — a Vietnam veteran decorated with a Bronze Star — the business continued to thrive for many years. In addition to his leadership at Salamon Flooring, Mitch also founded Salamon Realty, expanding the family’s presence into commercial property ownership and management across the region.
Now…
Today, that legacy is carried on by current owner Mark Salamon, who continues to lead with the same dedication, integrity, and commitment to quality that the company was built on. With 36 skilled installers in the field and an office staff of nine, Salamon Flooring has grown while staying true to its core values and key niches in the commercial flooring industry.
Family remains at the heart of our business—Carol Salamon and Karen Salamon, among others, still proudly work alongside the team today, ensuring the tradition of craftsmanship, trust, and personal service continues. From generation to generation, our mission has remained the same: deliver exceptional flooring solutions with craftsmanship you can trust.
